Happy Birthday Ryan and Emma

It was 6 years ago today that I woke at 12:41am and said those 4 magical words to Rob...

"MY WATER JUST BROKE"

...up he jumped out of bed with his eyes wide open (kinda like a deer in headlights) and says "Are you sure?" "Yes, I'm not peeing so it has to be my water" Then it was kinda like, oh crap what do I do, lol, grab me a towel honey, then grab the bag in the babies room and lets head to the hospital. I called my parents on the way there and talked to dad and he said well it will be a little while so call us again when it's closer to the time. We got to the hospital, me in my robe and a blanket around me with a towel between my legs, oh such a pretty sight I am sure. Head in to ER and up to labor and delivery. They took me straight to a room, got me all hooked up on the monitors and there I lay awaiting my c-section. They bring in this suit for Rob to get dressed into and off we head to the OR.

Man oh man, I remember the spinal they gave me, that was NOT fun but it sure worked FAST. All of a sudden I was numb and couldn't feel myself breathing, very weird! Scrub down my belly, shave a little hair where they were going to cut me open, throw up into this little straw like thing (you know like the one they have you spit in at the dentist), and by 3:07am out came a noisy little boy Mr. Ryan Mark Pitman weighing in at 6.6 lbs and 19 inches long. Shortly after him at 3:10am out came a very noisy little girl Ms. Emma Sue Pitman weighing in at 6.4lbs and 18.5 inches long. Rob got to help clean up the little guys and he brought them over to me one by one so that I could say hi. Then off he went to the nursery one in each arm and a HUGE smile to boot.

I spent time in recovery, I remember that they told me that I had to be able to move my feet/legs before I could go back to my room, It's the weirdest feeling to think that you are moving a limb but you are no where close to moving it.

After I got back to the room Rob was there waiting for me and then they brought in the babies. The rest is history.

Here are some of my favorite photos of the goobers. (in no particular order)

And some from their 6th Birthday Party today.

Happy Birthday Kiddos! We love you!

Time for an update..

It's been a while, but we have been busy. So here it goes... I worked for the last 2 weeks straight between both my jobs (it's not as bad as it might sound) Rob's birthday was on June 1st, our 7 year wedding anniversary on June 1st what a great present to be married to me on his birthday (lol). We had the passing of Rob's Grandfather, the funeral was beautiful it was really hard on Gram, they had been married for 67 years, AMAZING!!!! She is such a wonderful woman!

We have done a lot of off roading in the truck putting Rob's new birthday present (nice tires) to the test.

And today the kids had their Kindergarten graduation, they even got diplomas, LOVE it :) They still have one more day of school (tomorrow) and then they will be home for 4 weeks and back to school on July 20th, 1st day of 1st grade...YIKES they are growing up fast and WAHOOO all day school, no more of this 2.5 hrs of school, it will be nice! I don't go back to school until Aug so that will be nice.

Here are some photos to catch you all up :)

Ryan getting his diploma, the little grads together, and together with their teacher.

The last one is of Emma's feet and hands, I painted her nails for Kindergarten graduation...This last one is of Em getting her diploma from her teacher.

And here are some from our off roading trips...those are Mustangs that you see there, One reason I love Nevada :)
